About me
With a combined 30 years of experience in film and television, Laurie is an accomplished senior producer in Vancouver’s television market.
Most recently Case held the reigns as series producer on the highly anticipated 4 part series for CBC “The Oland Murder,” which follows the intense and complicated murder trial of Dennis Oland. Prior to that she was on staff as Senior VP of Force Four Entertainment. She has also been at the helm of the ratings hit for Corus and Netflx “Border Security: America’s Front Line” for three seasons, and prior to that on “Border Security: Canada’s Front Line” for three seasons. Over the years Case has earned a diverse range of credits in every genre from scripted to lifestyle to documentary. Whether producing from the field, cutting in the edit chair or supervising in the production office, Laurie comes to every project with a keen sense of story and production strategy.
Case has played key roles on critically acclaimed documentaries such as The Wild Horse Redemption (CBC/TIFF selection), and The Suicide Tourist (CTV/Gemini winner), but perhaps her most rewarding work has come from 20+ years of producing, writing and co-directing films for the New Westminster based organization Hope International Development Agency. Together with a small team of industry professionals who volunteer their time, they have created breathtaking and emotional films all over the world to raise millions of dollars for the poor.
When not making television, Laurie is a mom, wife, avid skier and softball player.
