About me
Nicole Lawson was the Director of Development at Force Four Entertainment for 5 years,
joining the development department as a producer in 2007. During her years there she spent a
year gaining exclusive access to Canada Border Services Agency that eventually led to one of
one of the country’s highest rated documentary series Border Security: Canada's Front Line on
Global. During her time in development she worked closely with independent producers and
writers to shape documentaries and TV series for CBC, Global, HGTV, W Network, OWN, FOOD
Network, City TV and Slice. Most recently she developed and help produce a true crime series
for CBC, The Oland Murder which aired spring 2020. Currently she is a senior producer with
in house production team TELUS Studios where she produces, directs and story edits original
and national video content. She has a degree in journalism from Ryerson University and a
degree in psychology from UBC.
