Library Future: Interactive Technologies for Creative Knowledge Sharing
In this panel, we will introduce and demonstrate some innovative art/design prototypes that show how interactive technology can open up new and inspiring ways to engage library users and support knowledge creation, consumption, and sharing.

Noah Pivnick will present Luna Cycle, a physical reading experience where an audience of two negotiate a shared narrative of estrangement that can only be read together, concurrently, or not at all.
Tuan Huang will demonstrate Bookmarks, a 3D media collection that offers a retrospective of the books she owned in the past 5 years, showcasing her personal relationships with the books and inviting viewers to walk through the space and discover new connections.

Sylvan Zheng will share Fog Of War, a transformation of US mainstream news articles into an interactive geographic fantasy map that allows the user to explore the news in a new way.

The session will conclude with a participatory conversation moderated by Yeseul Song, where the panelists and listeners will be invited to share thoughts and brainstorm library futures together.

This session will talk about the Makerspace facility, programs and services at Erving Public Library. EPL's new building is 3 years old.
