About me
Sylvan Zheng is an NYC based artist and current PhD student in the New York University Department of Politics. His research areas and creative practice focus on the interaction of communication technology and sociopolitical life. His work has been shown in a diverse set of environments ranging from publication in Nature Human Behavior to the Santa Fe based interactive arts festival Currents. Previously, he worked as a software engineer and data scientist at Facebook / Meta's Election Integrity and Civic Engagement team and the Brown Institute's Local News Lab. He holds degrees in Computer Science from Yale University and Art and Technology from NYU.
