Spend 30 - 45 minutes exploring the thoughts and feelings that naturally come to mind in the morning. Write down anything that comes up. Maybe it's a to-do list for the day, a dream you had, what happened yesterday that's still on your mind, what you're going to have for lunch, something that hasn't happened yet but you're worried about. Anything at all.

It doesn't have to look pretty and there's no right answer. Just free-write for 3 pages. No one will be reading it and you don't even ever have to read it again.
